Observing Evil

Evil is a wonderless feeling
Recognizable yet so unsure
Believing it is "most" justified
Causing harm to a heart so pure.
Spreads disease insidiously
And no cure exists with ease;
Or it claims to be the best cure
For that which was never disease.
I defend in a state of shock
When evil lashes out my way
Evil never shall satisfied be,
Until I am as evil as they.
Yet it's only one life process
Self-control I maintain once again
For the dark can't exist within light
And the truth will come out in the end.
Author's Notes: It is amazing how evil can overcome genuinely oppressed people and turn them into the most hateful, greedy, mean, double-standard-prone, chronically offended and divisive oppressors themselves -- any they wouldn't have it any other way. I've always known that the squeakiest tire gets the oil; but eventually it becomes worth it to just replace the tire. When genuine need becomes harmful greed, I get this ugly feeling in my gut. Evil is at work, and oh... it is indeed tempting to join right in and slap somebody just for the hell of it. But no, instead I let such people destroy themselves. I wish they'd hurry up, I deserve some peace.
