Seasonal Life Force

Age Group: Adult
Perished in Winter's lifeless state
Heeding Spring's call of rebirth
Aroused from beneath the surface
Longing towards the heat of Summer
Launching forth the Autumnal harvests
Unsteadily withering, spent, depleted
Succumbing to death's sleep, once again.
Author's Notes: Every wonder why it's the masculine aspect that keeps dying when Winter comes, only to be reborn again in the Spring? The answer is found in the acrostic nature of this poem.
