Lavender Lipstick Lillian's Lovable Linguistics

(Phone rings, answering machine picks up.)
"Hello -- I'm Lillian Lipton-Tea,
I'm delighted to recieve your call.
Before you leave me a message though,
Please allow me to relay my all.
You may verily call me Little Lil,
The lady with a leather bandana,
Short for Lillian Laurella "Luscious Lips"
Lipton-Tea from Louisiana.
I like lavender lipstick from L'Oreal,
And I love lots of lively lillies.
To linger along hand-in-hand singing song
Through the land wouldn't give me the willies.
Lift eleven lillies,
For us to plant,
In a large yellow flower pot.
Let's take our truck rolling,
To play darts and go bowling,
And fall madly in love on the spot!
The lovely, lively, lavish lillies
Will live so long as we love.
I'll learn you my lessons
Licking lemon lollipops
Underneath, on the sides, and above.
Let's light us a fire
Of daytime's desire
And chant 'til our bond is strong.
We'll dance in the night
Under rays of moonlight...
And roast marshmallows all the night long.
And at last if you leave me
I implore you, believe me
I'll latch you to an alligator.
Now listen for the beep,
Leave a message, I'm asleep.
And I'll get back with you, later."
(beep)
Author's Notes: Why did I write this poem? Your guess is as good as mine, and I can't offer any suitable explanation because I don't know either. All I can say is, one of my best buddies, a lesbian, liked the poem very much and encouraged me to post it, and I don't have the slightest idea why. ;-) ~
