And Now What? (We both know)

by Phronesus Disegno
 Age Group: Adult

What shall I write about now? Ah yes, it's about a friend One who cares for me, he does! Therefore I shall stay till the end.
So few are like this one Life becomes so very worth giving I have reason to teach and learn To understand the meaning of living
Any friend of mine, may you know I am here for you, and will be Provided my own needs shan't demand That I need time just for me
He gives as much as I do And hopefully receives the same May he know that this is my life And not some simple game
(Yes he does)
And I wonder what shall I write, Yes the present is my best friend For the promise I have made 'Til no reason, shall be the end.
And who cares what others may think? It's my choice to do what I do My friend, you know of my husband And yet, A friend you are true!
May the world cast opinions on us May the world say whatever it will And the world is no more than zero For my friend, I love you still
What shall I write about now? Ah yes, it's about a friend One who cares for me, he does! Therefore I shall stay till the end.
Author's Notes: Sometimes the really "special" friends are almost like the "comitted" friends, or should I say, my husband? Well, not almost. Definitely, yes, but for perfectly different reasons. And may I never fail you, my friend. You are not my husband... But I love you every bit as much. It is certainly possible, although I made a promise to my husband long before I met you. And yet, you never did the wrong thing. You never pressured me. You never hurt me. You understand that I have made a promise. And I do indeed love you. Why? Because you have shown me that I am worthy of your love. I am on your side. Now, and always.
