Trying Times

I think of all things good
In happiness and peace
But when my life goes wrong
The worry must release
How strange in trying times
I learn that no one cares
When I have less to give
They flee from my affairs
I ask for very little
And when I finally do
From honest heartfelt need
I learn which friends are true.
