Time and Love Together

Age Group: Adult
Some say "time" heals all wounds
And others claim "love" does,
But I say "understanding"
Heals all that ever was.
But time for it is needed,
And love means one is willing;
So time and love together
Make understanding fulfilling.
Author's Notes: You may not be able to erase memories of the past, but sometimes, growing to understand why things happened the way they did can be helpful. In my own experience, understanding unpleasant memories helps me to know that I am okay. If it wasn't my fault, then it was surely someone else's and my conscience is clear to heal itself. And if it was my fault, well, then I ought not make the same mistake twice! Well, maybe twice. But not three times. ;-)
