When I Catch Someone Staring

Ah-HA! I've caught you staring!
When I've nothing done at all;
So I'll stare one moment back,
As I listen to mischief's call...
I think I'll do a handstand,
But I'm really not sure why...
With hands against the floor,
Toes pointing toward the sky.
And my, oh my, don't I
Look precious as can be?
For when I do a handstand,
Your eyes stare more at me.
I've latched on your attention,
As I return to stand upright;
For I have done a handstand,
And I'm dizzy as a kite...
But know this one thing true,
You were staring 'fore I did that --
And if you shall stare at ME,
You'll get something WORTH staring at!
Author's Notes: Hee-hee. Most people are not rude enough to stare, but every now and then I'll catch someone staring at me. I'll give them a chance to look away, but if they don't, why not be polite and offer them a good reason to be staring? Skipping, arm-flailing, shaking my boodie, Hawaiian belly dancing, and who knows what else. Depends on who is staring at me. Serves 'em right for being rude. ;-) Not that I am the sterling example of appropriate social decorum, like when someone is talking into thin air, I answer them.
As odd as it seems, I've made a lot of friends that way. :-)
