The Tears of Angels

Age Group: Adult
A soul emerged from hells’ wilderness
Full of anger, confusion, and hate
Vowing revenge for injustice at the hands of the greedy
Yet calculating with precision, not randomness, its work
Killing with no soul
Ending life, God given, with self-loathing
Souls that have just begun their journey in this world
Or continuing on, in a world gone mad
And with quiet calmness
That same soul, who took the lives of others, ends its own
Now we grieve
Now we lament our losses
We lay our heads down upon our pillows
And shut the madness out for a few hours rest
While above, in beautiful splendor,
Angels cry with tears of diamonds and light, at our folly.
