Cherry Pi

I really do love pi,
With infinite decimal places,
And if I baked a cherry one
I'd see many happy faces.
I really love infinity,
All limits undefined;
I love the possibilities,
They give me peace of mind.
Another one I like
Is the symbol known as phi;
Pi baked to this golden ratio
Rectangular could be.
And plus, I like subtracting
Once divided are the pieces,
More than enough for you and me,
And birds, and ducks, and geeses.
No matter what you believe,
No matter what your path,
My deepest heartfelt truth
Is that it's okay to like math...
Square roots and exponentials,
And fractions, small or big;
Geometry and algebra,
And calculus, and trig.
(Actually, I hate integrals,
They're very impolite;
My answers always came "this" close,
But were never "exactly" right.)
And let's not forget the passion
So very unique and sublime,
One me, one you, together
Makes the product of us, well, prime.
Still, pi and I are just the same,
Our emotions (and poems) and such;
We both may be well rounded,
But irrational just as much.
Author's Notes: Autistic thoughts about mathematical memories. Did you know the circle around a pentacle (as with all circles) is calculated using pi? And that the ratios of all longer lines of the pentacle with all shorter lines (as terminated by intersections with other lines) make the golden ratio phi, or at least a multiple of it? There's a lot of math in that pentacle you're wearing.
You really should try a piece of my cherry pi. ;-) Just kidding.
