Patience is a Virtue

I just wanted you to know,
I saw a glimpse of your past.
It revealed to me that you are now,
As you were then -- yourself.
I see myself in that time in place
In the past, where I saw you, but
you didn't see me.
I saw a glimpse of my past,
When I didn't even know who I was
Just a few steps away out of reach
out of time
But you were there too,
Waiting to find me,
And I was there,
Knowing you sought after me.
There must be someone watching over us
And it was never difficult,
We were together before we knew each other
We knew each other before we were together.
And to this day,
I still see myself in you.
