The Soul of a Gay Man

by Phronesus Disegno
 Age Group: Adult

I am God, I am Goddess too I am both and neither at the same time I choose when to be God I choose when to be Goddess For they are both in me And around me
Yet I can't tell them apart The feminine hunter who gathers too Protector of children with my life The masculine gatherer who hunts too Mediator of disparate adults It's all the same to me
Women love my ability to nurture Fearful admiration of my impenetrable boundaries Nervous respect when I teach them to be strong But I know one can be strong and feminine at the same time
Men admire my intergity and self-control Nervous respect when I see their hidden emotions Fearful admiration when I teach them to let go But I know one can be vulnerable and masculine at the same time
To Women I am compassionate reasoning I am strong love I am logical sympathy You are not in this alone But you must earn my respect by refusing to be a victim by letting your beautiful integrity shine. We are all in this together
To Men I am reasonable compassion I am loving strength I am sympathetic logic You are not in this alone But you must let me love the real you and stop hiding your feelings by letting your integral beauty shine. We are all in this together
From one Gay soul to another: We understand each other For we are the same because we are all different. Women are said to be from Venus Men are said to be from Mars But we're from somewhere in between where we can see both Perhaps it's Earth, perhaps it's not Sometimes made to feel as if we don't belong here, but we know we do, because We are beautiful souls despite all messages to the contrary. We understand love and pain more intimately than the average person. We have a very special and powerful Magick unique only to us. We hold the key to love and understanding having earned it from hate and intolerance. We give this world a certain beauty like no one else can. No one can take that from us, But we are still willing to share it, even with those who do not understand.
I am not quite masculine or feminine... Maybe a little more masculine if I had to choose I like it that way. GRRR!!! Hear me roar! Meow, pet me behind the ears! Puuurrrrr...
But, what exactly does it all mean, anyway? Men and Women both need respect. Men and Women both need hugs. I see no distinction For there is none When you are God and Goddess At the same time.
