SEASONS OF CHANGE
SPRING
My ineer child askd to day, " Do you want to go out in the rain and play?
'Not today" I said to her, "Much to busy , too laugh and play. Errands to run, bills to pay."
SUMMER
My inner child asked today. " The sun is shining, 'It is great lets go out and soak up some rays, or just sit lazily in the shade?"
" Not today, " I said to her. " Who's got time to sit, or play..have way to many chores to do."
FALL
MY inner child asked today, "The leaves are falling lets go play, It's beautiful out a perfect day."
" To much to do, " I said to her, "Go on now, I must get through"
WINTER
My inner child said today. 'The snow is falling, lets go out and play, build a snowman, a snowballfight, , or make a snow angel, that would be alright"
I said to her, "NO, much to busy, it's way to cold."
Sitting now upon my porch, my hair is gray, my bones are old.
I wonder about yesteryear...and if my inner child is near.
Don't let life pass you by.
Don't keep your inner child inside.
Go out and play in the rain.
For the day may come she goes away.
