A Broken Heart's Reflection

What beauty I had
Is now a reflection in the moon
On the ocean water's surface.
So much I should have said
But my lungs wouldn't fill with air.
The fire that chases me
Won't let up for me to tell you
Some things are best said without words
But with actions instead
Don't turn away.
Look back and say
My heart is yours.
It always was
And so it shall remain.
But there are things
You should have done
To make realize
That what I did
Was wrong.
The pieces of my heart
Now little grains of dust.
Salt that burns the eyes
And parches the mouth.
What if I said
That you were never the one
That I was looking for?
Would you still have asked me then?
Don't turn away.
Look back and say
My heart is yours.
It always was
And so it shall remain.
But there are things
You should have done
To make realize
That what I did
Was wrong.
My mind wont stop remembering
All the times you made me laugh.
What did I do to make you doubt me?
Make you hate me all over again?
If I could change it
Where would I start?
If it weren't for the bad
The good wouldn't show.
Don't turn away.
Look back and say
My heart is yours.
It always was
And so it shall remain.
But there are things
You should have done
To make realize
That what I did
Was wrong
So let me show you
That you still have a place with me.
Come back and I promise you,
I'll never let you go
Never let you go away again.
Author's Notes: Cant quiet remeber who it was about. All I know was that it was after I graduated high school
