A World Unfinished
by Thomas Harris
Age Group: Adult
In darkness She who is gives birth
And the multitudes of lights pour out from Her
Filling the multiverse's girth
How is it that we consider birth finished
Birth goes on at every moment
Just be quiet and listen to the Mother
There's birthing going on all round us
And within us ev'ry hour
And tilling and planting seed you see
And the harrow that breaks the ground
Goes generation to generation
And generation to generation birth resounds
And so when we consider birthing
Let us not be unaware of life around us
Or life that is yet to come
For we are birthed before it for its raising
Older children but for younger kin
Seeing life growing on, still growing on
