Our Cure For Disagreement

Age Group: Adult
My Love and I disagree sometmes
Doesn't matter if day or night,
And though our love runs very deep
We sometimes want to fight --
And so we use a lesson well:
We take a breath and then,
With hands before us, fingers out,
We slowly count to ten.
But here's where it gets interesting,
For "twenty", everyone knows
My love must take some clothing off
To count with all the toes!
And if some anger still resides
I show my love my fingers --
Together, counting "thirty" now,
Our anger wanes and lingers...
Then I remove some clothing too
If only to be fair,
With my toes out we count to "fourty"
As Peacefulness fills the air.
And so it is, we're half undressed --
Why stop with such a sighting?
With newly inspired ideas in mind,
So much more fun than fighting! ;-)
