What Goes Around Comes Around

There are times when the Divine doesn't matter
At least I think it's so
When I struggle to stay alive and well
But diseases take my life damn low.
And I can get help fired from my career
With vacation time spent to recover
Stupid SSDI pierces me in the eye
Saying I just complain like another
When the tests come back and I get a letter
Several doctors concur death is near
Yet the government says I am perfectly fine
When my test results come back "severe"
Frick the government when I'm about to die
"You have some of these symtoms, 'sometimes'",
Why don't they try every hours each day
Saying "law" protects us from crimes.
Drain my last career savings until destitute
Only then will they pay any care
And I'm wondering if and when, that day may come
I will have to be living, to be there.
Should I curse that last job terminating me
For reasons due to medical issues?
They are just a small shop, exempt from the law
As I sob using boxes of tissues.
Yet I have lots of friends, I don't know how well
At least I have food stamps to feed...
And for those who've ensured that my life is a mess
May they starve from intensified greed.
For I always get the things that I want
I do nothing, nor do I use force;
I've better things now to do with my life
For those others shall get theirs, of course.
Author's Notes: While I have instigated or have been a catalyst in the "payback" of others who have done wrong, I have never been (nor should I have the right to have been) the one to decide the outcome of those who have done wrong.
The one thing I can say for sure is the the Universe takes on a balance of its own, and what I may have thought to be the proper "punishment" for another or for "others" was never for me to decide. My fantasies have always been inappropriate for other people's actions.
But the Universe knows what to do. I have witnessed things I never ever thought of doing happen to others, things that didn't make much sense to me, but were perfect in the long run for others people who cause wrongdoings.
Yeah, I have been a catalyst. I may have rushed the outcome with my will. But it wasn't what I decided to be best, it was what the Universe decided to be best.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
