Pine Tree Solitude

I look outside my window
See the pine trees wave in the breeze
And I wonder why they're so free
To grow and express as they please?
I'm trapped inside my own place,
All to do is watch what's outside
My thoughts are all of nothing,
Not a moment to develop my pride...
But that's what is so easy,
Sitting here and wondering why..
So easy that it is, to see life
Yet I want to die...
It's okay to have these feelings,
Though my blood begins to freeze
And why can't I move on with life,
To grow and express as I please?
I can't die until I know
Think like pine trees in the breeze
Speaking loud, yet I don't listen
In solitude, just as I please.
The willow so outspoken, and open
One question, one answer is mine
But pine trees are not so revealing
Nor am I, my mind, like the pine.
