Taken Off The Shelf

Hog mannequins
Adorning the celestial corridors
Beyond my cranial luminosity.
My friend and I decided
To write the worst, huge
Morass of unintelligible rambling
Poem in history, while,
With a wee smidgen
Of nihilism tossed in
For somber effect
I came up with this
Line of hooey:
The voices in my head
Tell me to corrupt you.
Here, piggy-piggy-piggy;
Behold the glory of human clay.
Author's Notes: A friend of mine, Del, had entered a poetry contest and got one of those form letters saying how he'd won a special prize and everything...well, he said, 'Tom, how do I know if this thing's real or not?'
I wrote this and sent it in. They decided not to award this poem a prize for some reason. I guess the contest was at least partially legit.
