Voluspa

well I know, from what source it springs, the everflowing
stream of valfathers pledge
Of the brains and blood of Ymir, I can well relate
The words of Mimer I know well
daily his drink in the house of Allfather
well did I hear, Frigg weep sore, for Valhalls need
The Terror of Gods and men
Necklaces, Armbands, and Rings, gave I the Voluspa
To prophecy
Till She Sank down
A lover of ill, and to loki alike, sigyn shall sit
but not in gladness, to see her mate, as the venom falls
close by
Cold the entrails of his son
High is the Sword Bridge of Ice and Fire
And Narrow the Road to Hel
what, would ye know yet more?
for Much do I know, and more can I see
Of the fate of the gods, the mighty in fight
An ash I know, with water white, is the great tree wet
Thence come dews, that fall in the dales
From the Misty Realms of the Vanir
Mighty the Ash that Stands Evergreen
Above Origins Well
Thence came the maidens, mighty in wisdom
Three from the dwelling, beneath the tree
Urd is one named, Verdandi, and Skuld
On the wood, they scored Runes
Laws they made
Life they allotted To the sons of men
and set their fates.
