Everflowing

a perfect tree is growing, nourished by a spring
called everflowing
I rode to the witch of the iron wood
hermod offered hel a ransom
then balder was born upon ringhorn
I and frigg rode to hel for balder and nanna
while hod was slain by vali
frigg wept sore for valhalls need
loki forced his way to accuse the gods
thus did I seek the voluspa
and gleipners chain
In jotunheim is a cavern where there is a waterfall called
great resounding
that becomes a river that passes under the bridge to hel
and flows into Vanaheim
where yggdrassil rises evergreen from origins well
thence come the dews that wet the tree
everflowing the stream of valfathers pledge
The norns do sit and weave the fates of men
the grey they are called by some
and the one eye they share between them is mine
for I sacrificed myself on that tree that no man knows
till now
how deep the roots of it run
down to the deepest depths I peered
till I spied the runes
they scored upon the wood
to set the laws
and set the fates of men
