Passing of a Gay Love

Knowing that we've embraced
And secret mysteries tast'd
That now we find visions
Far from each other, divisions
Causes tremors in my soul,
Makes me pause enfold
As the wind passes by.
Why gay we passed the days
And wondered at love amazed
Taken at the stars much graced
As the world around we faced
And man's heart touched man's heart
And sacred self touched sacred part
As the wind passes by.
And wondering at such disrepair
That to human souls dispair
What hate we encontered there
As turned foul what once was fair
Causing tremors in my soul,
Made me pause enfold
As the wind passes by.
And now the pressure caused drift
Between our souls a growing rift
And never handfasting we shall seek
For other's hate had left you weak
And I shall stand at the horizon there
And see what new thing my life shall bear
As the wind passes by
