Vindicating A Curse, Part 4
by Phronesus Disegno
Age Group: Adult
Though I don't call myself a Witch
Indeed I practice Magick
I find it's not much needed, though,
When others become tragic.
For I have friends and friends have me
With enemies very few,
And although some do not like me,
It's fine, 'cause others do.
The idea goes something like this:
When those who try to hex
They try to fill my mind with fear
(Just 'cause they can't get sex)
They wave their arms so flailingly
And chant some hexing spell
And try to curse me, but they just
Don't know me very well.
For all their actions anywhere
Or words they choose to say
It's only they who are these things
Portaying themselves that way
And when the world takes notice, then
The world will know by far
Their words and actions, done by them,
Are who they truly are.
They think they send things toward me
To make my whole life hectic
But look from whence the hex began!
I choose not to accept it.
Then there they are in all their mess
From whence began their hate --
I yawn and simply go to bed,
No need to stay up late.
And later on when they check in
To see if their spell's working,
Well, here I am, all safe and sound
But their whole world's gone quirky.
As passing are the days and weeks
I think of them much less...
Their whirling arms and blabbered words,
Well honey, that's THEIR mess.
Author's Notes: Fear is the primary factor in allowing a curse to work. But when put in perspective, they are the ones who are afraid, or else they wouldn't need to curse you. Don't believe them, and you've already won.
What if they did it behind your back and you didn't find out about it until later? How effective a spell is when it's performed behind cowardice is anyone's guess. But even a mosquito has more courage than that, despite the fact it is small and could be crushed by your pinkie finger. At least it comes to you, when cowardice does not. So you decide.
