Fighting Simple Problems with Complexity

My problems may have seemed tenacious
Perhaps they were only fugacious
Must I always be so audacious
To make results efficacious?
Should my problems be hellacious
I'll light a candle that's ceraceous
I'll drink some tea if it's herbaceous
And repel all things predaceous
My success shouldn't be ostentatious
Or flirtatiously fallacious
It's voraciously vivacious
Though at times perhaps vexatious
For fortune my life's capacious
If I'm lucky, it's also salacious
But this poem's getting too spacious, good gracious!
I must stop being so loquacious... :-)
Author's Notes: I had a recent expereince in which I was trying to take care of too many problematic issues in my life all at once. Individually, each issue wasn't much to speak of, but combined, I felt overwhelmed. A personal experience in nature helped me see that I was making the situation far more difficult and complex than it needed to be; it helped me to realize I just needed to take one day at a time, and if I couldn't get through the day, then all I had to do was get through the minute. In the end it wasn't all as bad as it seemed. :-)
