A Pagan's Lesson for Christians

This poem's just a little thing
I wrote for Pagan friends
They asked me what I thought about
How Christians think life ends...
Now I for one don't truly know
What lies beyond the veil,
But something doesn't ring so true
When I consider Hell.
The Christian God whose love exists
So infinite and pure,
Forever unconditional...
Then why am I unsure?
If sinning gets you sent to Hell
God's love stops for every nation
And yet this shan't be misconstrued
As a discontinuation
No wonder then why Christians have
A not-so-happy life
Their God is temperamental, with
A Son but not a wife.
It seems to me that Pagans are
A bit more understanding
To live a real life sharing love
Without some god demanding
It even seems without the guilt
The times under the covers
That Pagans have so much more fun
They're usually better lovers
And so I think that Christians are
A wee bit jealous too
Deep down I think they really know
The Pagan way is true
To harm no one and still be free
Is such a life worth living
It's what Chrisitans would "like" to do
But can't get past forgiving
They try to say I'm doing wrong
When their Bible is on the shelf
They say they're trying to save me
But, I'd rather save myself
I've spent my life just trying to fit
The political Christian way,
I finally knew how I should live:
I got the "Hell" away
So Christian, try to hold me back
Afraid I'm on the loose
For there's no reason for your fear
You silly Christian goose.
And when you finally come to terms
Your whole life you've been tricked
In thinking something bad was good
A Christian life addict
Then come to me, the one who's free
We'll have a good exchange
It's time for you to see the Truth
And love life for a change.
