Seasonal Craziness: Summertime

The hottest time of year again
We all know it as Summer
The skies are bright and cheerful now
But some things are a bummer...
I spend each morning primping well
To look good as I'll get
But walking out, just to my car,
Will make me soaked with sweat.
I tried to raise a flowerbed
But now that idea's whacked,
The flowers all evaporated
And the dirt is dried and cracked.
My electric bill's gone through the roof
Almost taking my last cent,
And I could even fry an egg
Outside on the cement...
I wish I could complain some more
But I can hardly scoff
So hot outside, the bugs come in
If only to cool off
But if there's one thing I can say
And this I quickly learned,
At least I'll get a lovely tan
If I don't get sunburned.
I'm dreaming now of Wintertime
With ice cold snowflakes twinkling.
By then I'll want back Summertime...
My gawd, what am I thinking?
