If Only For A Moment

If only for a moment I think of you,
I smile with my heart.
Each time my heart smiles,
my day is well worth experiencing.
The memory of these days will turn to gold,
and the richness of my life becomes apparent.
To believe that this life is worth living,
makes it easier to find good in everything.
Able to recognize even the hidden beauty,
helps me to share it with others.
When others are encouraged,
the chain of love continues beyond me.
One by one, with each new link,
the world gradually becomes a better place.
Perhaps in the distant future after we are gone,
the whole world will finally know peace.
My friend, because you care,
time and space are forever changed.
This is the Magick between us,
if only for a moment I think of you.
Author's Notes: This was written for a friend who has reminded me of the value of true friendship. I met him though a poem he posted on WitchVox. It is truly amazing what new friendships can inspire, and it is my wish that we will always be friends, even if he lives almost exactly 1000 miles away from me. Never underestimate the loving healing power of a "true" Shaman, though he would never claim such a label... my new friend is wonderful. :-) His friendship has exceeded my expectations in ways I cannot describe. Thank you, to my friend in Tennessee.
