Freedom From A Psychic Vampire

Age Group: Adult
You were older and wiser than I,
Whose knowledge reached far beyond reality
And whose heart was filled with love,
how could anyone resist?
You flattered me with praise,
Built me up to the sky,
And watched eagerly with ulterior motives,
as my heart unfolded.
A little correction for me to make,
So "fragile" and desperate for my kindness,
Slyly pulling the rug from beneath me,
pretending to be a victim.
So I challenged your self-proclaimed abilities,
You returned "innocent" mind games,
And tested my politeness to the limit,
by crossing every boundary.
More important to have your way,
No consideration for my feelings,
Creating chaos from order, believing
complexity won't let the situation die.
Sucking my healing energies into yourself,
As you did your prescription narcotics,
My integrity was stronger that you thought, eh?
When will you learn "no" means "no"?
Your manipulative and evil love curses,
Blaming me to boost your own self-importance,
Yet nothing made me stoop to your level,
and for that you punished me.
Older maybe, but utterly foolish,
A cheap amusement park psychic at best,
"Harm None" was only a false disguise
for your selfish premise.
Stronger than you ever imagined me to be,
You have ultimately cursed yourself threefold,
And now I simply watch with disconnected pity,
for you don't even help yourself.
I thank Spirit for my freedom,
My life force was never meant to be your battery...
Quit claiming other people's light as your own!
You're a clever psychic vampire... but not that clever.
