Sometimes, someone you don't even know
Who cares enough to listen,
Who understands life's meaning,
Will make themselves known to you.
Sometimes, in times of sorrow,
When you don't think someone will relate,
When you think all there is, is opposition,
Suddenly, they appear when your only thought was,
No one really cares...
Sometimes, when I feel sorry for myself,
When I don't care enough about myself,
Someone does! Someone actually cares enough,
Aahh, someone does...
Someone doesn't have to agree completely,
Someone doesn't have to know my personal pain,
Someone doesn't even have to know me,
To take just one moment to care, enough...
Because they too may have felt pain,
Because they too may know what it feels like,
Or, because they too have a heart of gold,
And, because they too have love in their heart.
Sometimes life is worth living after all...
But then again, I knew that.
But it is so nice, for just one minute,
To be reminded, at least sometimes. :-)
And all I have to say is, thank you,
For taking just one minute to care,
One solitary minute,
It is more than you will ever know...

Author's Notes: This is dedicated to Agedbard and Silverpoet most of all, but I would also like to dedicate this to Foxheart and LoisJayne whom I have currently had no correspondence with, simply because their poetry has inspired me to remember the true meaning of my life and because it has helped me to better focus on what I believe is important. Whether you knew it or not, whether it be from the e-mails we have exchanged or from the poetry you have written (and believe me, I have paid very close attention to all of the poems posted in this forum) , you have increased my understanding of life and encouraged me to be a happier person. You are all are truly amazing!
