Freedom From A Psychic Vampire, Part 2

This is a story of when this Mage
Met one of those Psycho Vamps
The two of us started out as friends;
Ended worse than premenstrual cramps.
The Psycho Vamp disguised himself
As a Witch, which I now dread.
But I found out who he REALLY was,
And this is what I said:
"When I think about a Witch
I think of someone GOOD
A person with much love inside
Sometimes misunderstood
When I think about a Witch
To me this does imply
A person who believes in TRUTH
And doesn't want to lie
When I think about a Witch
I think of working power
INTEGRITY as strong as stone
But gentle as a flower
When I think about a Witch
I think of LOVING friends
Who listen to their inner truth
And know that it transcends
When I think about a Witch
To live and to let live,
A being not of selfishness
But one who'll freely GIVE...
I really hate to say this but
You need to really hear,
Misled yourself and lied to me,
Control freak, insincere
You only cared what you would get
No thought of my own need
You called yourself a Witch but yet
Cared only for your greed
You only had within your mind
Your thoughts who I should be
But when I didn't falter
From my OWN identity --
You tried to force me in a mold
With threats you called 'affection',
I think you need some happy pills
And a thorazine injection...
You stole some energy from me,
Decide now, are you rich?
For NEVER would I think of you
When I think about a Witch
Your magick's only powerful
From the energy you steal
You live in glamorous fantasy
Not facing what is real
You're nothing anymore to me
And I can only scoff
For you'll steal another's energy
Now that I have cut you off
Without the power I give you
You have none of your own
You're not a Witch, you Psycho Vamp
If you were, you would have known --
That 'Witch' means you're respectable,
A natural way of living.
Oh no, you're not a Witch at all
Stealing far more without giving
So retract your long proboscis, dear
And shove it you-know-where...
If tremendous energy is what you want
I'm sure you'll find it there."
Author's Notes: This poem was originally written circa 1994 when I first dated someone local to Oklahoma City that I thought would be a good idea since he claimed to have a similar spiritual path, but the truth always comes out in the end.
