Storms From Within

When everything seems impossible and all
is in a swirl, no where can you go when your
hands feel bound by something so invisible
you can not hide.
When so far away you feel out of control and
helpless to protect the ones you love the most,
where can you go?
All you can do is sit and let it all wash over
like a squall in an ocean the emotions that
swirl and swell does come to try and drag
you under do struggle to just stay afloat.
No energy to try and no breath to scream or
cry do you slip beneath the waves and hope
to let it be all over. When a hand reaches out
to help guide you to safe haven to rest.
Nothing is as bad as you thought, for hope is
never far from your side nor faith beyond your
grasp.
But for now do you cry for the fear and the fact
that you too far away to help or do any good. You
pray to the powers to be to send healing and protection
to those you care for and love the most.
As that goes forth to help, you cry for feeling so helpless
and feeling guilty for not being there to do anything to
help.
