Overcoming Fear

Age Group: Adult
Fear just loves to have its way
So it can stay with you
It blinds your options every day
Obscuring all you do
It wants to have you think of ways
To overcome its being
It keeps you in the game it plays
Preventing you from seeing
Enormous fear that's held within
Ain't handled overnight!
But I have found, to just "begin"
Will help you from your plight
To find a way to face your fear,
A way you know confirms,
To chip away, make disappear,
The fear on YOUR OWN terms.
A little here, a little there,
The use of common sense,
To teach yourself how to prepare
And have self-confidence
To take the time you really need
And strenghthen day by day
To learn what it takes to succeed
And not be led astray
In time I'm sure that you will see
Your fear start to subside,
Have constant faith within yourself,
And in yourself, confide
Fear may be slow to go away
But one day it sure will --
Just make an effort every day
And live your life fulfilled.
