Killing Time

I sit at my computer desk
Trying to kill some time
I'll write another poem I guess,
A poem that has good rhyme
With one that's sure to capture
The essence of my thoughts
So readers feel the rapture
Of my poetic plots
Ah yes, my mind is flowing
Into poetic realm
My inspiration is growing
Almost to overwhelm
I'm having such a vision
So vivid to describe --
How can I use precision
To make my thoughts inscribed?
Oh no, the thoughts are leaving,
Of stories so renowned!
The readers won't believe me,
Unless I write them down!
Alas, those thoughts got out,
Escaped far from my mind,
I've nothing left to write about
My thoughts left me behind,
I'll wait 'til next time I guess,
To write poetic rhyme
I'm still at my computer desk,
But now, I've killed some time...
Author's Notes: What can I say? Can you tell I was bored when I wrote this? Just blah... blah, blah, blah.
Hmmm... I just thought of something. If I say "blah, blah, blah" rhythmically, over and over again, maybe someone will get up and dance... On second thought, maybe not. ;-)
