Halloween Costumes Deciphered

Upon this night of Hallow's Eve
I stop to look around
The people dress up funny here
Across this lovely town
I think that all these people now
Are having lots of fun
To dress in costumes very strange
On nights just like this one
I secretly suspect that they
Are showing their true selves
Dressed up as ghosts and goblins
Or perhaps disguised as elves
They get to show a certain side
No matter right or wrong
Of someone else they'd rather be
They've hidden all year long
So take a look at how they dress
Though seemingly bizarre
For just this night they will confess
Who they really truly are...
