Love After So Long

It's been four months
And the time has passed so fast
We knew upon meeting
That the future had us in it
And it has only begun
This new love
With no warning for us
The physical attraction was there
Yet there was always more
As we find increasing comfort
In each other's arms
With our minds at peace
We have loved many before
Each one was different
Yet we are finding now
Because of each other
We want more of the same
Our time shared together
We didn't know how tired we were
Until we met each other
Tired of running around
In hopes of finding
That special someone
But it was worth all the trouble
We never needed to say words
We just needed to rest our worries
To believe in working together
To reach out and know
The other is there
With open arms
All of these reasons and more
Are why my love for you grows.
Of all the people in this world,
We chose each other to share
This never-ending cycle
Giving freely to each other
What we've needed the most...
A reason to believe in love again.
