What Was That Word?!

Age Group: Adult
You said that there was "something" there
That took you by surprise,
You did not know just what to do
With bright blue sparkling eyes...
This "something" there that caught your eye
Made you consider it's meaning:
What is your purpose in the world
Of constant intervening?
You wonder if you're a solemn tree
A Beech tree or a Palm
And then you say you're just one leaf
So humbly and calm
Or are you like the written word?
No, you're vocabulary...
A being of life just like a star
In our revolving galaxy...
All in all, your existence shines
Not limited to just one thing;
All and nothing at the very same time,
This question they do bring:
That "something" that inspired you
That brought about this cause
The Hungarian word I can't translate,
The word of "ananász"...
I've tried so hard to translate it,
It's meaning I can't grapple,
But somehwere in my mind I think...
Does "ananász" mean "pineapple"? :-D

Note to Sheila: Thanks for writing this poem in Hungarian, it took me almost two hours to translate it! :-) But it was very interesting and I really needed the practice. Now seriously, does that word mean "pineapple" or am I just losing my mind? ;-)

It turns out, I haven't lost my mind! :-) The word really does mean "pineapple". hee-hee
