True Love

True Love,
It's not an illusion,
It is maturity.
I've waited for it all my life,
I've had facsimiles thereof,
But what I have now doesn't compare.
What I have is real,
What I have is what I know will last,
What I have leaves no room for question.
And it took this long
For me to understand,
To learn that love is many things
But it always begins within me...
...and my God...
(okay, Goddess for some,
but for me, it's the God,
and my God, is He masculine!
Kinda makes me want to be...
Just like Him!)
What I have sent out,
Comes back not three-fold,
But to me,
A thousand fold.
I guess I always knew that love
Is only a matter of well-informed decisions
A matter of having done it all,
And realizing...
that there is someone who loves me
Exactly the way I am,
And I love him too,
Exactly the way he is...
I only needed,
I guess,
To finally grow up,
To finally let love come in,
To finally let love
...just happen.
And you know what?
I wouldn't have it any other way.
