Emotional Equations

Mathematical improbability
Multiplication of only one
Times one will stay just one,
Times zero leaves you none.
It's true, he was a person
His deception hiding inside
He claimed multiplication
With a sole intent to divide
He thought he knew it all
His singular method of thought
A thief for my energy
Returning me all of naught.
Gave me chaos for my fractals
Like a lawnmower to a flower
With cutting hyperbolic hyperboles
Raising me to a fractional power
Proclaimed such grand addition
Undefined variables in his act
A true negative number
With still more to subtract
Thinking he could bound me
With inverse equational action
My parameters were too complex,
With unsolvable integral abstraction
A destructive one he was
Who still claims to be a hero
So his life fell back upon him
And divided him by zero.
He forced me to the limit
Of division by a naught --
And while I approached infinity,
He assuredly did not.
He imposed unsound mathematics
His "zero" and my "one"
So I left him with as much
As he had when we begun.
No need to take a zero
And add myself to him
I shall not play the hero
For his psycho vampish whim
All this talk of high math
His falsely dramatic front!
He could never uphold such a path
When my simplicity makes him shunt.
Simple addition is my answer
What I've learned since I begun,
My "one" plus another is two,
And with zero, I'm still my own "one".
True love is true addition
Where the other likes addition too,
Our product is exactly one,
And our sum is exactly two.
Elsewhere in the life of mathematics
My other "one", I have found.
Our theories have come together
To prove that true love abounds.
Author's Notes: You know, the thing about "equations" is that both sides are always equal, and whatever happens to one side of the equation is always balanced by the other side. And I have found that life always takes a balance of its own.
Earlier this year I ended my relations with someone who turned out to be a dark psychic who to this day still abuses his gift to take advantage of others by giving false flattery and praise to people who don't question him, and by punishing those who do, for example, by trying to insinuate that their loved ones will die soon, or whatver he knows is important to those who challenged him. When I visited him in person for the first (and last) time, I discovered that this person burned a picture of me he printed off from my personal web page, in a cauldron along with rose oil and his own fingernails. What was that? A love spell? No, it was a curse because it was without my permission, but then again so was everything he did.
Only three days after ending my relations with him, which was in the middle of a week's worth of pure exhaustion after being near him, life began its balance for me like it always has. I met someone who is just as kind and generous as I am, who has been so loving such that I feel I have been given back as much as was stolen from me by the dark psychic.
After having done research on psychic vampires, I disovered a very interesting web page that, as I read what it had to say, I kept hearing myself think, "Yes, yes... that's exactly what happened to me..."
