Weathering the Storm

I'm not sure why I'm so lucky
But all my life I have been,
Having faced many monstrosities
Yet always coming out with a grin
I feel I've had many a share
Of things gone terribly wrong
Though sadness has come my way
It never stayed for very long
Perhaps it's true when they say
Sagittarians are favored by gods
Somehow coming out on the top
After facing unthinkable odds
This poem, I suppose, is to say,
I thank all the gods for this gift
When a storm tries to pull me down
Nearby love always gives me a lift
I suppose then there is no storm
That could ever last for long
The rain will run out soon enough
And dry up in the Sun's firey song
I have weathered a terrible storm
That tried washing my happiness away
The greatest threat was just thunder
And now I can honestly say
My life has returned to normal
I never lost my optimistic outlook
The gods took away the storm,
And gave me back what the storm took.
I received advance radar warning
To elude the storm's pitiful sorrow
I just used my lucky umbrella! ;-)
And today is the brighter tomorrow.
