Conquering Daemons
by Phronesus Disegno
Age Group: Adult
Now hiding in camouflage,
A ghost of pretense has gone
As if faded into the past
Silently drifting unnoticed
Without intent to vanish
But to remain as a daemon
Deep within my subconscious
I whisper to myself,
Let him burrow where he will
Strategically positioned anywhere
Occulted within the most obvious,
To invoke undetected disruption...
For he thinks I didn't see him,
And he is dead wrong.
