Etherial Extortionism

Accroached prevarication,
Equivocation.
Author's Notes: The poem is an exercise in writing Haiku.
* etherial extortionism - in this case, I intended it to refer to a form of spiritual abuse
* ambiguous - open to more than one interpretation; doubtful or uncertain.
* accroached prevarication - in this case, intentional vagueness and perversion of the truth as if granted to do so by (self-assigned but still false) perogatives
* equivocation - a statement that is not literally false but that cleverly avoids an unpleasant truth
This poem is a statement of the irritation I once felt after an encounter with someone who used the title of "psychic" as a cover-up for their own obvious psyhological issues. While it is true that people who have suffered intense trauma in life can, and usually do, eventually become among the most genuinely spiritual and even psychic people, it is also true that they must first overcome their own issues before they should attempt to help anyone else. This person didn't do that, and I suffered for it.
You may have already heard of this most important guideline for all healers: "Healer, heal yourself!" Well, another one is that a healer must not make the patient any worse. Ask your own health practitioner if he or she has heard of it, whether their focus is in the metaphysical arts or even a cold hard doctorate degree in health sciences earned from a reputable university, if you don't believe me.
I look at it this way, just keep it real because true Spirituality is much like dental hygiene. Be true to your teeth, and they will never be false to you. :-) Thanks for listening. I feel better now. :-)
