Mound in the Ground, Part 2

I've already said
This past Springtime
I mound rose in the ground.
But once again
When the rains came,
It was there AGAIN to be found.
Okay, Mother Nature
I dug it once,
And didn't find a thing.
And here again
You play a prank,
Such mysteries you bring!
I dug it up,
That strange ol' mound,
There was nothing there but dirt!
You silly goose,
Yes YOU, Mother Nature,
I think you're trying to flirt!
But that's okay,
These Winter months,
You're a powerful one for sure...
Just play your pranks
On little ol' me.
As I behave so pure.
(not really.)
They made a commercial
Just about you --
One about a name-brand butter.
I have my eye
Yes, looking at you.
I await a prank another.
So go ahead,
Play a prank on me,
You've done it many times before.
I'm glad to have
A friend like you
I just can't wait for more!
But all I ask
Please don't harm me
In Oklahoma with a big tornado.
I'm trying to develop
My not-so-green thumb,
So I can give my Mom a tomato. :-)
