Failure

Failure?
Not really.
I don't think so.
You are too smart
To acknowedge it
As a failure.
Did you give up?
Probably not.
Too soon for that.
What is failure?
It is giving up.
There is more to come.
Did you see
What happened?
Did you learn from it?
For if you understand,
What you have learned,
It is not truly,
A failure.
Author's Notes: I must quote something from "Star Trek: The Next Generation", which has been so true for me in my life, you see, I am a scientist, and here is the quote, which couldn't be more accurate if I tried to say it myself:
"Scientists believe that no experiment is a failure, that even a mistake advances the evolution of understanding."
Don't worry about mistakes as long as you learn from them. Heck, I don't. And I've made LOTS of mistakes. :-)
