The Goddess, The God

Age Group: Adult
Did you ever stop to wonder,
The Goddess doesn't need praise?
She has all that She needs,
Lunar nights and sunny days.
She is there just for you,
She can be all that you need,
She is infinitely wise,
And overlooks a mishap deed.
She didn't need your praise,
But likes it if you give,
She only wants to heal (and love!) ,
Beyond the life you live.
She is the Mother of all,
Right here! Not way above.
She understands all things,
But most of all, gives love.
Did you ever stop to wonder,
The God is there for you?
Some may like Goddess more,
But God is loyally true.
He's never left your side,
He serves you to protect,
And if sometimes you're wrong,
Just ask, and he'll correct. ;-)
He doesn't need your praise,
But likes when you acknowledge,
And he would rather all,
Save up and go to college.
He is the Father of all,
Protection to the end!
He wants to be your Father,
But most of all, your friend.
Author's Notes: My personal perception of the God and Goddess in my life. My real example has been my own mother and father. Please don't dismiss the God. He has feelings too, you know.
