I have a wish for you
That all is well and good
That love is always near
Things work out like they should
I have a wish for you
You'll find the peace you need
Contentment in your heart
Your soul uplifted and freed
I have a wish for you
The problems that you face
You study them at length
And solve them with your grace
I have a wish for you
If sadness overcomes
You'll find the peace you need
Emerging from the slums
I have a wish for you
It seems so hard to trust
You learn to like yourself
Yourself comes first, a must!
I have a wish for you
When problems never cease
To find that gentle lamb
And pet its golden fleece
I have a wish for you
Upholding such a fight
Just give yourself a chance
In hopes that others might
I have a wish for you
You never were alone
All beauty shines right through,
It's clear that you have grown
I have a wish for you
You'll learn to just let go
Although it may take time,
In time you'll surely know
I have a wish for you
You'll always be my friend
I never promised this,
But I'll be there 'til the end
I have a wish for you
And I have a wish for me
And thanks to you, my friend
I'm set for eternity
