Night Fantasy

Tonight, when stars shine bright,
When Lady Moon casts pale light,
When watery pools of daytime blue
Turn to forbidding midnight hue
And friendly daylighted shade trees
Turn to ghostly, silhouetted frieze
Shadowed against the silver blue,
That is when I come to you.
An elusive midnight nymph of love
Who shuns the sun that glares above.
Who bathes in the light of the mystic moon
Who cowers when daytime comes too soon.
Tonight my love, I, that nymph
Will stalk you while you sleep,
And while the Lady Moon looks on
I’ll give you love so deep.
I’ll fill you full of ecstasy
That only my kind give.
You’ll ne’er again want mortals
While I, the night nymph, lives.
