Solace

Seek solace in the truth
In the aftermath of youth.
Feathers Floating on a painted sea,
Or lying naked in captivity.
Sparkling Stones strewn about
And a greedy hand to cash them out.
Sunshine Streaming through the clouds,
Cutting through the dark and foul.
Truth can darken, wash away,
Or illuminate your debt to pay.
It differs between every soul,
Every rock and every fold.
But you cannot run from verity.
It will trail you, from beauty to obscurity.
