The winds of change

by Magus Thorn Darkweaver

Age Group: Adult

The winds of change

The wind of change is blowing again I feel it upon my back now it pushes us into the future uncertain fortune chance and possibilities become our companion as we travel down the road unwinding to journey to places strange and unfamiliar or places known and dear to the heart the road is unwinding before us again weaving into flights of fancy or sights of grim consequence we are adrift in an endless sea and events float by us like islands and ships among the wave like clouds spread your wings and guide your steps in the right direction flow as the sea or chart your own course but change and the future hearken and seem to rush upon us like the waves the years move faster as if by they’re own will something is coming we feel it our instincts scream it but we know not what approaches new faces mesh with old the new can be just as dear but the old remain with us memory bittersweet and the promise of tomorrow intertwine the wounds of the past erased the young and the old the living and the dead caught in the current travel becomes our path and memory becomes our wine we face the horizon and prepare for the dawn we know is about to break and accept the change as a friend or fight it as an enemy it differs according to each persons story and though the past is already written the future remains not yet molded and unwritten this is the nature of change flowing like water soaring like wind enfolding us in the volumes of its cloak and pulling us into its wake follow or resist you must walk the path that is yours move through your story change makes the story interesting a twist a turn and usually when you least expect it is when it finds you time is a predator that stalks you or a friend that accompanies you along the path sharing fond experiences it depends on the person we stand on the upon a ship facing the horizon and whatever lies beyond chart your course for treasure always waits for those who sail beyond the edges of the map
