Journey Into Love's Arms

I was standing in a dark forest, alone
Confused about where I was going
I knew I was an a mission
Just beginning my journey
But I didn't know where
I looked up and felt the voice of my spirit guide tell me to go forward
I started walking down a path in the forest
Every time there came a fork in the road, I would listen to my spirit guide's voice and he would tell me where to go.
Every time I listened to that voice and did the right thing
A small swarm of white, glowing hummingbirds would appear And fly, dancing around me and making beautiful song
A ways down the path, I saw a figure in the darkness
I looked up and the sun started to peek through the trees
And then I could see the figure
It was you
My guide didn't even have to tell me to go to you
I already knew
When I got to you, we embraced, and the little white Hummingbirds danced all around us
Then we kissed and hugged, and walked hand in hand, Continuing the journey
My soul walked
Eventually we came to the end of the journey
It was a beach
In the sunshine
And we walked up to the water together
Our toes in the sand
I knew this was where we were supposed to be
The hummingbirds were very happy
Then they left
I heard that voice say "You are right that this place is good, but its not the final destination
But the journey that counts
What have you found along the journey?"
And I knew that our love was what was really important
So I hugged you and held you close
Our hearts combined into one
All I could see or feel or hear or taste was love
Then, to my surprise
The hummingbirds surrounded you
They flew away with you
And you were gone
For a moment
I was terrifired
That I had lost everything I was
Everything I am
But then I saw our hearts
Still combined
Floating in front of me
That's when I realized I was dead
I knew that our souls would forever be linked together
Our love would always be there
So I reached out and grabbed the hearts and held them close to my soul
The hummingbirds were so happy with me that they surrounded me too
Soon I felt weightless, and before I knew it I was with you
Author's Notes: I wrote this about a vision I had while meditating. It is about the love of my life, Elijah Voshall.
