Nature Nap

Great blue skies, speckled with white
The heavens surround and envelope my soul
My angels whisper, do what feels right
I am carried into peaceful rest
By the faery song and melodic lull
of the wind brushing through the leaves on the trees
In this rest I am filled with light
With my cheek pressed to the Earth, I hear the beat of her breast
Golden light from the Spirit Divine
Fills my soul like an empty cup
Sweeter than the finest wine
I see its beauty, come from up
And as my soul, like cup is filled
Cool rain stops and the wind starts up
It comes from the east and blows my tears onto my lips
The breeze carries the scent of herbs and flower petals
As I breathe this air, I taste its sweetness
A candle lies near my left foot
I strike a match and I can hear it
I smell the scents of the melting white wax
The peaceful pure aroma seeps in through the cracks
into my soul...
I gather my ground and begin to stand
Feet bare and candle in hand
The sound of leaves under my feet
I dip my left toe into the muddy heat
As I hear the song of bird faeries in the trees
I know Goddess of Earth is singing to me
