The Flight of Crows
by Singing Crow
Age Group: Adult
Brothers’ spirits soaring by me
-Listen, harken, know your name
They whisper words that catch and bind me
-Open your mind, we are the same
I gaze upon them wondering why
-Feel us, see us, hear our song
My soul with them in the sky
-To our one spirit do you belong
And as the soul’s eye opens wide
The flight of Crows becomes my guide
The days of doubt and fear are gone
We share the same name and our souls are one
Author's Notes: This piece is in honor of my spirit brother; the Crow. Connection, friendship and understanding through animal familiars is a wonderful thing (as I am slowly learning) and I encourage anyone to find yours. Or, more accurately, let them find you.
